Integration
Vitalcare provide a wide range of integration options including access control, fire panels, voice, camera and security management systems along with customised API’s and discreet analogue and digital device inputs.
Vitalcare provide both high and low level and analogue and digital integration into the nurse call platform. This may be as simple as an analogue or digital input from a fridge alarm or other critical equipment to a wireless or wired device environmental sensor or a complex API extracting nurse call response performance data.
All key system objects and resources including event and telemetry data, system configuration, and system users are available through the REST API. The API can be accessed either via a cloud hosted endpoint or via the local network if the system is hosted on premises. While most high level integrations are preferred to be primarily implemented through the standard REST API which can operate both on the local network and in the cloud via HTTPS, some may require alternative protocols which can be implemented through the Felix protocol-agnostic interface. This may include RS232, RS485, SOAP, or other protocols. The system can also integrate with VoIP devices using the SIP protocol which can be linked for two-way communication between voice call points at each bedside and system management consoles at the nurse’s station console and other staff areas.
Vitalcare provides nurse call platforms and critical messaging technology engineered to improve communication, workflow efficiencies, patient care and safety for hospitals, aged care facilities, home care and allied health across Australia and New Zealand. Key features of the platform include wired, wireless and hybrid infrastructure with voice assistant, RTLS, open API integration, enterprise reporting and tools, and industry-leading software. The entire network infrastructure is modular and scalable with in-built active redundancy.
