Thermal Screening
Febrile symptom image screening to alarm or restrict facility access to those with high temperatures. Can be integrated to nurse call and access control.
Vitalcare’s thermographic camera system measures skin-surface temperatures in real-time from approximately 1.5 metres with a level high accuracy. Therma cameras are installed at entry points to hospitals, aged care facilities or institutions and are used to identify people with elevated skin temperatures as an indicator for fever or infection.
Thermal cameras come in both fixed mounting and handheld form factors. They can be configured to manually read a temperate, or automated to read and alert or read, alert and secure.
When Therma is installed as part of the Vitalcare nurse call ecosystem a wide range of additional functionality is available. This includes immediate nurse call alarms on detection and secure cloud-based archiving of all photo recordings and thermal images with temperature readings.
Integration into access control systems can also be configured which automatically restricts access to anyone exhibiting a temperature beyond the configured benchmark.
Vitalcare provides nurse call platforms and critical messaging technology engineered to improve communication, workflow efficiencies, patient care and safety for hospitals, aged care facilities, home care and allied health across Australia and New Zealand. Key features of the platform include wired, wireless and hybrid infrastructure with voice assistant, RTLS, open API integration, enterprise reporting and tools, and industry-leading software.
